Valentine Tags

Here are some of the Valentine Tags I have been working, I have a gal who asked me to create some vintage Valentine Tags....She owns her own bakery and she will be attaching these to her customers purchases,She places all her customers purchases in pink boxes then takes tissue paper of each holiday and then wraps the box usually adds a tag with her name business name phone number ..She and her staff wear Victorian aprons, her shop is (I would say )Shabby, Victorian, Vintage..In the bakery she has tables with linens and silverware where you can sit and be served. At Christmas my daughter and I were out taking Christmas presents to some of our favorite local business, Like our favorite... hair dresser, favorite mom and pop restaurant..We decided since it was the holidays we would stop in at the Bakery and treat our selves to some Christmas goodies. We carried in our last couple Christmas presents with us, And the owner of the bakery came over to our table and just flipped in joy over the tags on the presents. She said this is exactly what she has been looking for!!.She asked where we had bought them, I said they are all hand made, not bought .she asked who made these that she just loved them and wanted to buy some, Valerie my daughter popped up before I could answer, and said My Mom made these..I know my face turn blood red..But isn't it nice when you hear your own child who is all grown up, and adult herself says some thing about their Mom with such pride....well the rest is history..Now she has a on going order with me for each holiday!!!
These are just a few of Valentine ones for this year.

Charlotte Folk Art Vintage style Little Girl Doll

I am doing the HaPpY DaNcE this morning..

I just sold my little girl. http://www.thehumblearts.comFunny though for some reason

I really fell in love with my little Charlotte.
I didn't think she would sell really ,
I am so happy she did, but I am kinda sad to see her leave,

People say well just make another, but that's not true!
just like each child you have they are all unique and one of a kind,

There is NO replacing them..
But on the other hand a person who buys must like/love your creation also or they would'nt buy!!.

Have you all every felt this way about one of your creations??

It's awesome she sold, but on the other hand it is so sad to see her leave,

I just had to share Charlotte with you all before she leaves for her new home..

Folk Art Vintage style Little Girl Doll
Charlotte, 19 inches and She is one of a kind, Charlotte is my own original design, She is a little girl of yesteryear, Dressed in a old fashion Victorian style. Her dress is edged with lace and ribbon. Match bow for her hair. Painted and antiqued muslin, Stuffed firmly Hand needle stitched fingers. I have hand painted her arms and hands, then I have antique them , this gives her a vintage look , She is so soft to touch. Lace at her neck line also on the hem of her sleeves.
Her stocking are striped with hand painted boots, Pantaloons have hand stitched vintage lace. I just love her fat little legs, She has such a nice feel about her, Her dress is very full just like little girls

Charlotte's face is hand painted and antique to give her a vintage look, and sealed to be handed down for generations. Her hair is hand felted Mohair, Charlotte's eyes are a beautiful green

one of a kind tag, I created this tag and hand painted the Victorian women's face and dress and also aged the tag

On a personal note "Creativity "

After hearing about the tragic news in VA.. Praying for all, I felt kinda like 911 again, Thank God he has given us all a talent, To be creative and be inspired by others creativity,
Creativity is a healing which keeps us all strong,...I sat down decided to look at these many links I have here on my blog,
Taking in others beautiful creations, Colors that were bright, Creations that made me smile, Creations that show the whimsy side and, Beautiful yesteryear looks,

I then received a email from Pattern Mart mailing list , that I subscribe to,
There was the link to Kelle's new blog, So I just stopped and took time to do a bit of "Blog Wanderings" I want to share with you all, On a personal note one of my favorite New Blog Wanderings , The blog is "Two Dancing Crows"

What a inspiring woman Kelle Arvay is! She is such a fantastic artist and caring sharing person She is the founder of Pattern Mart http://www.patternmart.com

one of my own personal hang outs! I rarely order patterns anymore that you order through the mail, But 99% most of the time I order only E-Patterns, and Pattern Mart has a huge selection of Pattern Designers to select from and instant down load!
Pattern Mart also has a FREE on line magazine "Creative Times Magazine"
trust me when I say it is one of the very best online magazine, You all who know me , might remember when I wrote my own online magazine , How much time and research and hours and hours of on line time it takes to create a good magazine,
Doing it all by myself, I can fully under stand the under taking of putting a magazine together,Yet what a huge success it was,
Let me tell you "Creative Times Magazine" Has a wonderful staff and editor which work as a team and they turn out a fantastic bi-monthly magazine!!!!!!I wait patiently WELL maybe not sooooo patiently, ... I think I have worn out the link to "Creative Times Magazine" to see if the new edition is out :)
This is all just my own humble opinion I am not a member of Pattern Mart or "Creative Times Magazine" or associated in any way, Just a happy customer,
I'm a Fellow Artist who enjoys seeing other artists readings , growing, seeing what's new, and passing it on to other fellow artists!
Now Kelle has her own New Blog!!
It is just a delight to wander around and read such interesting posts, and links
The biggest thing I so enjoyed about "Two Dancing Crows" Blog is
It isn't about "Self" "or all about selling" It is about "Others, Inspiring new books to read, what's going on. What's new , Her blog is cheerful, Bright with colors, Eye Candy every where !! oh such fun!!
do your self a favor,YOU ARE WORTH IT!!! Go right on over and take a long peep at "Two Dancing Crows"
