Crackle Finish Tutorial

Crackle Finish Tutorials , I stumbled on to these crackle tutorials, and thought they were really cool, The first is by Crackle Finish http://www.elmers.com/diy/project/crackle-finish

The second is by Ann of " Make The Best Of Things"

So this tutorial, as requested, will have lots of pictures and step by steps so you can see what to expect. If you have used crackle medium you know the basics, they are the same, but you will use Elmer's glue. I used multi purpose but I see online that others have used the school glue and even generic school glues. For this project I used Elmer's Glue All.

Ann wrote a in depth tutorial with step by step pictures go to her blog to read and see it!!

I am going to try this on my doll faces and legs and see how it works on cloth, First I will gesso, Then paint body color, Then add probably a antique color of flesh.. Tehn spay it with a matt spray to seal it..I will post pictures and let you know how it turns out..Hugzs Sherrie

Raggedy's ready for the craft show

WellPppp Have 4 Raggedy's ready for the craft show, They are 11 inches and 14 inches,
They have cute little bloomers along with their striped legs.

Have 4 more ready to dress, One has a round head,That will give me a total of 8 finished,

I want 18 of these little ones to take, These little gals sell really fast at shows.I am trying to make them with different faces, Not just painted faces, but also this year am doing embroidery faces.I goofed though and made two dress from the same fabric:(

But as I add in numbers I hope that won't be noticeable

Also am stuffing two 30 inch Antique Raggedy style dolls , whoHoo!

Then I am going to keep making larger dolls,

starting from 26 inch to 58 inch, make two of each size

I am being selective and all new this year, I am making retro-Apron aprons also, A few of these will be for Holiday theme, They seems to sell well also.So here is to hoping!! But having a blast creating that's for sure!!

Fabric Flower Brooch

Hi There I have been absent for a bit, Was in the hospital long story short, Was not fun and the recuperating has been a long road, All because of Bronchitis mixed with a pneumonia vaccine which in turn made me VERY sick, But God is so good, Every day I am getting better and stronger,
I have been wanting to CREATE! Which is a good thing, But could not settle on what, I wanted some thing small and some thing new, I ran across a fantastic tutorial by Margo Tinnin of http://margoiscrafty.blogspot.com/2012/03/fabric-flower-brooch.html

I was SO thankful to have found this tutorial!!I sat down gathered my supplies and actually create my very first Fabric Flower Brooch, sewed a pin on the back and now can wear it, or put on a head band. or what ever!! I will improve as I plan on making allot of them, For gifts. .also for my dolls and aprons and well the list goes on and on! Love and Hugs Sherrie

Please meet our new addition Joey and Kiwi

Please meet our new addition Joey and Kiwi, Ours are the Pacific Parrotlets..They have been given to us by Nancy daughter of Eve, Who owns Eve's Restaurant, Nancy is buying a "African Grey Parrot "
They are young and seem to be hand raised, because they are very calm and will allow you to pet them, Unlike large parrots these have a almost finch like chirp..Parrotlets are Pocket-Size Parrot Fun
Parrotlets (pronounced "parrot-let" little parrot). With their wonderfully outgoing personalities, adorable-size, colorful plumage, comical behavior and quiet voice, parrotlets are quickly becoming one of the most sought-after small pet parrots. Less than six inches in length, be assured that parrotlets are true parrots, with all of the virtues and some of the vices.Parrotlets are the smallest of all parrots. Pacific Parrotlets are 5 1/2 inches in length. They come from South America in the area of Peru and Equador

Parrotlets have been domestically bred for almost 15 years ..hand-fed parrotlets often become completely devoted companions who enjoy spending time with their owners. They can learn to talk and are quite comical either playing with toys or amusing their owners with acrobatics such as hanging by their beaks and toes. Unlike many large parrots, they have no problem entertaining themselves all day ..

Alrighty with all the excitement.. Ummm I haven't told my hubby yet,,Ok if you never hear from me again:) You will know why:)
