I have been making dolls, over 18 years, yet I still use and reuse info from my doll books, No matter what doll I am working on.
Couple years ago I down sized , and had to turn around and buy a couple of my favorites back, Because I missed them, Now believe me what I do have are mine for ever! Big Smile*
Don't think just because your happily growing in your skills, talent, that you don't need the goodies but oldies any more, They still amaze and teach you, Hope you enjoy

Oooh, you have one of my favorites (and one I had to re-buy, because apparently I "donated" it to the library when turning in some books! The Cloth Dolls from Ancient to Modern. I love that book. Just now learning about the Kay Cloud--just lovin' the rag dolls right now.
You are so right Sherrie, these are great books. The early American cloth doll should not be overlooked. They were anything but simple, they are fine examples of American women's skill & creativity!
Thank You Jan, I do love my doll books, I am amazed kinda at my self ,because over the years I still not only use them, but each time they are so refreshing to me. I too accidentally when I down sized gave a book away which I just reordered of course it was my Kay Clod book even signed by her, But Thank Goodness I did re order it from amazon, it is one I dearly love, By the way I just saw your wonderful rag doll, She is gorgeous, I really love her !!
Howdy hey Sherri, I have to agree with you about " Early American cloth doll " I really study in depth this book, when I am creating, Simple I had to smile your SO right NOT simple, These women of yesteryear had sewing skills, talent waaay before their time, Even Kay Cloud dolls look simple, but they aren't.not if your wanting it to look like yesteryear, their techniques of using just what they had at hand are amazing.So much to learn!!!!
